Home Sustainability Assessment Scheme (HSAS)
Ensight has formed a strong team of energy assessors that are engaging households in Southeast Queensland to help identify easy to acheive energy saving measures...For FREE!
So what is your energy saving potential?
With our existing expertise in energy auditing and management, we have published a Home Energy Efficiency Manual that households can use immediately whilst the report is prepared. This manual highlights how you can save 30-70% of your power costs and do something for the environment at the same time.
With prices predicted to soar in the coming years, this is not just a feel good exercise - it is fast becoming a 'must do'.
What is involved?
WHAT'S INVOLVED?
What this looks like is about an hour of your time to collect the information so an accurate account of your power usage can be prepared.
This scheme applies wether you are a tenant or owner. You need to have been living there for 12 months and earn less than $250,000.
Each household is then eligible for a 4 year interest free loan of up to $10,000 that can be used for environmental improvements based on the findings in your report.
PROGRAM SUMMARY
Australians are becoming more environmentally aware, and are looking for ways to become more energy efficient, water smart and waste conscious.
The Australian Government is committed to taking action on climate change that's both good for the economy and good for the environment.
At this time effective action on climate change is critical - action that benefits households, particularly those that are most vulnerable to cost of living pressures; action that supports jobs in low pollution Australian industries; and action that reduces the cost of cutting our carbon pollution, now and in the long term.
That's why the Australian Government is rolling out a suite of initiatives geared towards bringing about greener residential buildings.
And it's important we build a suite of solutions, for Australian homes are responsible for about 10% of Australia's greenhouse gas emissions, both directly from energy used in homes and also from the electricity that needs to be generated to run them.
Improving energy efficiency represents Australias quickest and most effective way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
